Whilst on holiday in Cornwall I had planned to shoot the full moon rising over St Michaels Mount. I had set up on the beach ready for my shot but as the orange glow started to rise I realised I was too far left. I then ran down to the other end of the beach as far as I could go, climbed onto the wall and took my shot. It was a bonus that the Mount had been lit up purple which added to the composition.

I am delighted that my photograph of the Harvest Moon Rising Over St Michaels Mount was published in The Times. Its great to have coverage in a national newspaper.

About the Author:

Berkshire born and bred, I have an extremely active imagination! My earliest memory is sitting up in bed, picturing faces, animals and clouds within my bedroom curtains and wallpaper. I’m told I see things in everyday life which others don’t see. Quietly observing life, listening, watching and leafing through magazines, I nurtured my artistic eye for colour, composition and design. Happiest outdoors, I have golden memories of holidays on the South Coast and my Uncle’s farm in Devon, making hay, fishing trout and running free.
